What I collect

When you fill in a form

There are five forms on this site — general contact, a speaking inquiry, a speaker kit request, an advisory inquiry, and a training proposal request. They ask for different things, but between them they may collect:

• Your name and email address
• Your organization, role, and sometimes a phone number
• Details about what you're asking about — event dates and locations, audience size, timeline, budget range, team size, and anything you write in a message box

All of it is information you chose to type. Nothing is collected from a form unless you submit it.

When you're just reading

Two things happen automatically, and neither identifies you:

• Anonymous visit counts. This site uses Vercel Web Analytics, which records that a page was viewed and roughly where in the world the visit came from, along with the browser and device type and the site you arrived from. It is cookieless — it does not set anything on your device, does not build a profile of you, and cannot follow you to other websites.
• Standard server logs. Like every website, the host records requests, which includes IP addresses. These are ordinary security and reliability logs, not a marketing tool.

What I don't do

• No cookies. This site sets none at all — no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, no consent banner needed, because there is nothing to consent to.
• No advertising or social media trackers. There is no Meta pixel, no Google Analytics, no LinkedIn tag, no retargeting of any kind.
• No selling or renting your information. Not to anyone, ever.
• No mailing list by default. Filling in a form does not subscribe you to anything.

Who else handles your information

A few services are involved in running this site. Each one only ever sees what it needs to:

• Vercel hosts the site and provides the anonymous analytics described above.
• Zapier receives form submissions and passes them straight to my email.
• Google Workspace is my email provider, so anything you send me lives in my inbox.

The fonts and images on this site are served from the site itself, so no outside company is contacted just because you loaded a page.

Links to other places

Some links take you elsewhere — LinkedIn, Eventbrite, GitHub, and a Google scheduling page for booking a call. Once you follow one of those, you're on their website and their privacy policy applies, not this one. Booking a call through the scheduling link means Google handles that booking.

How long I keep things

Form submissions arrive as email and stay in my inbox and business records for as long as they're useful — typically alongside any resulting conversation or engagement. Anonymous analytics are aggregate counts and are retained by the analytics service on its own schedule. Server logs are short-lived.

Your choices

You can ask me to delete what you've sent, tell you what I have, or correct something that's wrong. Email angie@angiecarel.com and I'll take care of it. You don't need to give a reason, and there's no form to fill in.

Because the analytics are anonymous and aggregate, there's no record tied to you personally to remove. If you'd rather not be counted at all, most content blockers stop it, and so does your browser's Do Not Track or equivalent privacy setting.

Children

This site is for a professional audience and isn't directed at children. I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If what the site does changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top will tell you when. There's no version history — the current page is always the current policy.
